I need to get better. Period. My rating is near 1400 and I can't seem to get it any higher. Thus, I need to get better.evil.png

Hi everyone.  My name is Tony and after a lifelong interest in chess FINALLY in my retirement I have decided to learn the game.  I know that for me to learn the game at my age will be like a farmer trying to grow crops on the Sahara but I'm going to give it a go!

My middle name is Bruno... hence the name.

Hello,

My name is Tom.  I am 67 years old.  I played chess when I was a child, but all I remember are the basic moves of the pieces.  I'm looking forward to learning more about chess and have some fun while playing it.

Hi my name is Carrie.  I have played on and off for many years. I am at an intermediate level at the moment.

The reason I joined this group is that my local library asked me to teach a group of children to play chess. Last year the person teaching them had a group of 25 children with a number of parents as well.

I am 56 years old and have never taught anyone how to play, though I do love the game. At the moment I am waiting for a (working with children check to be done).

I am not sure where to start. I am no sort of coach. Though I do have a very big personal library.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

Sincerely

Carrie Anne Evans
