Introduce yourself

Thought it would be nice to find out who we are, so here is a good topic to introduce yourselves to our little community :)

I'll start off... Hi, I'm Thorleif, 33yo from Trondheim in Norway. Father of 1, soon to be 2 small boys. I'm married to an Italian woman I met in Scotland when I lived and worked over there for about 3 years, but have since returned home to Norway and settled here in our new house. I'm absolutely terrible at chess so challenge me for a lesson in winning (by beating me).

Hi, I'm Tony, originally from Dublin but residing in Ramsbottom UK for now. I travelled a lot from 1996 - 2006, I lived in Hong Kong, Australia and The Netherlands for 2, 21/2 and 4 years respectively; hoping to emigrate to Canada in the next 12-18 months. I got engaged to my partner who I met in Hong Kong the week before Christmas and am getting married in New York in September.

49 years old and been playing chess for just over a year. Its very addictive.

I am a self-employed builder, with other hobbies including homebrewing ( on hold due to recent house move, but when up an running again, hopefully springtime, you are all invited to new brewery opening)!! , freemasonry, sports... football, rugby league, snooker (only watching these days, apart from the odd game of snooker), and reading.

I live wth my girlfriend Tracy, and Spike the Dog!!!

Yes, there is alot to learn, but I am still fairly new to Craft, I was only raised in sept.  Hoping to join chapter in near future.  I have my eye on KT's though!!

hi im ratatouie, i love to play chess but i try hard n i do right but u know what, i come to find out im just not that good but if i had some1 to help me i could be so much better than i am now, n my coach or teacher would be so much the wiser for it. SO why is there so many people out there not willing to help out ill even be there buddy, but NOOOOOOOOOOO but u mention it they either want money or something but ill admit there is a few out there, if i could just run across 1

i'am Gerald, 37 years old, from Ingolstadt a.d. Donau - geographically between Nuremberg and Munich in Bavaria. Learned to play chess when i was 6 years old, but never followed the game more than it beeing a great way to spend some time. Came back to chess, when my now 11 y/o son joined the local chess club, three years ago. I had just enough of loosing against those little kids... ;-)

Hobbies besides chess: boardgames, computers, travelling with my son, beer.

Hello. I'm Cheryl. I'm a Native Californian. Love Chess, I'm not very good but I use tactics trainer which has been a Great help and playing higher level players. I have 2 grown Awesome sons. I work part time and have a small dog who's been great company. I love photography, watching most sports finals, music makes me move and I try croaking to any song. My name is Paul.  I live in Kansas City Missouri.  I owned a coffee shop and worked in the coffee field for 20 years doing everything from ordering green to pouring a artwork topped drink.  I am now back in school. I am half way thru a 4 year doctorate program to become a Chiropractic doctor. I grew up playing chess with my dad, but didn't play again until I taught my children to play.  Just about 6-9 months ago a classmate told me about chess.com and now I am addicted.

Hello everyone!

I'm Magnus a 28 yo software developer located in the south sweden. I work at a large north american company which have had me travel there quite a few times.

I've been trying to understand the game for a while now but the progress is slow. Other hobbies includes beer brewing and I spend a few hours on the tennis court every week.
