Chess is a mental activity not a physical activity, so, for me it is a game, not sport. The only physical activity involved in there is the physical conditioning needed in a serious tournament. But the physical activity there is not used in the game itself but in the preparation of the body for the game which is optional.
Is chess a sport or a game?
I think you are right but still one can't be wrong to consider it either way due to the inherently friendly interaction of contenders. Beyond or short of it would necessarily fail to become a game or sport.
What do you think of chess, a sport or a game? Why? Your opinion, please.
