Is chess addictive? Are you addicted to chess?

I am addicted to chess- I play it almost every day . I find chesstempo tactics very addictive as well, and I worry a lot about rating points when I play chess online.

I find chess addictive in the extreme. I can analyse games or solve puzzles for hours on end. One time I did it a little too much and started to crack up, I had to give it a rest for a few days.

I think it's less addictive than other addictive things

Yes, it is too addictive.  Chess alone is not addictive but playing chess and sharing thoughts about it makes it addictive.  I am supposed to do things like improve my job or complete my tax forms but I keep going to chess.com whenever there is an opportunity. I am not very good at time management!

Less addictive than methamphetamine. More addictive than paying taxes.

That's a wide range of addictiveness.
