ya I hope my FIDE score after doing tournaments over the summer and next year are as high as yours
Is it possible to get an IM or GM title if you start chess later?

Good Luck on your chess journey!

I am only 1700 rapid, how sad.
Still pretty good considering I'm currently at 1487 and that's better than 96.5% of all rapid chess players.
ya no I cant play that well online rapid don't have the concentration I have no idea why I'm so much better over the board

Haha I'm 16 and I'm a 900 rapid lol(at least my highest rapid was 970 or so) although I didn't really pick up playing chess until about a year and a half ago. I still like to say I suck at chess
lmao I don't play rapid as much because I was starting to play worse so I do puzzles, in person, and daily and I've started to actually play good also 16

I think you really do have to start young to be a GM. (Not that I'm ever going to be a grandmaster obviously so don't take my word for it)
ya but the question is IM or GM I think IM is very possible GM I don't know chess isn't overly complicated to pick up but most people cant stick with the grind

I win kids tournaments and can beat 2 of my coaches sometimes. (1250 and 1400 chess.com) I think I'll eventually win tournaments at the club level (casual chess clubs that are popular but no state championships or anything like that)
good job how long have you been playing
2-3 years.
