Is the 1|15 Delay Time Control for Teams Too Fast?

I would prefer 2/20, but the status quo does not bother me too much.

More important to have more time in free for all.

In teams, the games tend to be short by comparison

2/20. Games would be better quality.

I think 1|15 is too slow. I think something like 2|5 would be better, but DEFINITLY not 2|20!!!!

2|20 is definitely better for teams. However, If we're going to do 2|20, I think that the delay is a little to long. I feel like sometimes the time scrambles are fun.

I think the best solution would be to have a 'add time'  option where if all players agree,  time can be added to a game.

Most of the time 1 15 is fine.  But some games become really complicated and interesting,  and both sides would wish to have more time.  And in those circumstances, it would be nice ot have that option.

Personally,  I wouldnt mind either 1 15 or 2 20.   I'll adapt.

Team games do tend to not last very long so, I guess adding more time wouldnt be the end of the world.  2 20, 3 15,  5 5.     I dont really know.

I like the idea of add time once in game if all agree it happens if one says no it stays.

Also not sure if it's splitting hairs but since you are looking for 1 time control how about the exact middle between 1/15 and 2/20? (split the difference try it see what feedback you get from that?

2/15. Same delay, a bit more time to think in critical positions.

But having to wait 2 minutes for a non-mover to time-out can be a pain. So maybe the extra minute should be added after the first move.

EDIT: Sorry, I was talking about FFA, not Teams.

No. Too slow.

If only those two choices exist, then I vote for 1|15.

What about 1|20? I think that would be good.

self-partnering teams and you only need half as many players for a game!

Then you solve all the problems.

+1 should be a good game
