Is the Benoni defense Good ? What type of opening i try to learn with Black?

Im trying to Learn new openings in chess i am learning Ruy lopez,  kings indian, sicilian, amar, center, and lativian gambit and i wanna to Learn the benoni defense is it good? I learn the old benoni defense?

Just to give u a quick answer , you need to have a repertoire in every color and since you're speaking as playing with black i highly recommend both the french and the dutch defense but from these options i would pick the KID and the sicilian (choose either the dragon, the kan or the taimanov, I won't recommend any other variations until you reach like 2000).

hey there, listen I looked and when you are only 700 rapid you dont need a bunch of openings to get better, just learn one opening with white and have a weapon agaisnt e4 and d4 as black

i recommend kings indian defense against 1.d4 and caro kann against 1.e4. if white plays the london system and black plays the KID and white isn't careful enough, white's knight on f3 and bishop on d3 could potentially get forked

i dont recommend sicilian defense until you're 2000 because it has way too many variations.

and also the amar opening (Nh3) is trash. always develop your knights to f3, d2, e2 or c3

What is KID is the King indian or other opening?

The Catalan opening is better than Ruy lopez?

The KID is the king's indian defense just to not mistake it with the KIA which is the king's indian attack, the catalan and the ruy lopez are both openings that i definitely don't recommend for you until you reach like 1200 and even then you have to learn them deeply.

Play the scotch , the Italian or the Vienna as white and don't bother yourself a lot with finding openings

In The Vienna is better play The King gambit or other variation?

As Black what can i play ?

for beginners id reccomend the caro kann against e4 and KID against everything else for beginners
