white has a passed a-pawn.
If black moves 1...Qg8 2 Rxf6...wins while 2 Rxd6...loses.
So don't want to do that. If
1 ... Qh6 threatening rook
2 Rf2... Qh5 because Q threatened g pawn
or
1 ...Qh6
2 Rxd6...
so don't want to do that. If
1 ... Rb6
2 Rxd6... Rxb3
the passed a-pawn is a big threat that might keep black off balance, trying to protect against its advance. The weakened black c-pawn may then fall as well but would have to work that all out. If
1 ... Rd8
2 Rf1 ... Kg5 to protect g pawn
3 Qf5+... Kh6 and the g-pawn falls and possibly the h and f pawns as well. Doesn't look like a draw. I think white has an advantage and can win it.
This game was played earlier between me and streptomicin, we both agreed is a draw, what do
you think? if not how the game could have continue ?
