what do you guys think?¿?¿?
jay cutler trade
FINALLY the league will have to start showing us some respect! I mean even when we won the most games of the season and went to the Superbowl they still didn´t really show much respect. And there were more Bear fans at the Superbowl then Colt fans! We have a huge, loyal 4th phase but no respect from the media. In comes Forte and Cutler! Yeah
Angelo hasn't exactly struck gold with first rounds, so maybe this is a blessing. Anyway, Cutler's deep arm and accuracy has to make Hester better...can't tell you how many times I watched Hester get free deep and Orton (as much as I liked him) couldn't hit him consistently. Cutler will enjoy throwing to two very good TEs and his experience with Bennett may make the WR flourish. There is still a huge hole at #2 wr. Hopefully the 2nd or 3rd round pick will get a player to develop (Britt?)
RIGHT NOW THIS IS THE STEAL OF THE CENTURY, WE GET A MOBILE,YOUNG, ALL-PRO QUARTERBACKFOR THE NEXT TEN YEARS, FOR A MIDDLE ROUND 1, AND NEXT YEAR 1, WHICH WILL BE A LOW PICK.WE ARE VERY LUCKY, MY BRO'S .
DA BEARS
I'm not sure that this trade is as great as everyone says. I like the trade overall, but I always liked Orton as a quarterback, ever since 2005. Orton was a winner and nothing else really mattered. He played through pain, and he never complained about anything, even as the GM threw him under the bus at the end of last season. All that said, I think Cutler could be an AMAZING pickup for the Bears, just not the tremendous upgrade he's being made out to be. Yes, he will upgrade the deep game, but he will also turn the ball over more than Orton ever did which will put more pressure on an already aging defense that couldn't get big stops last year. Hopefully, everything will click this year and the Bears can make a playoff run, but this trade could be bad for the future if the Bears defense can't hold up a few more years and they don't get Cutler the explosive weapons he needs on the outside.
I feel that our offense is finally going to have the push that it has needed, since McMahon in the 80s. At Forever Last we have a consistent QB that threw for over 4500 yards last season. More than Grossman or even Orton could produce. We are ready to rock guys. I feel really good about this trade.
ANGELO finally made a move!!!!!!!!!
the CUTLER trade is awesome, they would end up drafting busts anyways
maybe the bears will actually be talked about on ESPN, could you imagine?
so thts the quarter backs name i heard about him but i never knew wat his name is send me mail telling me how good he is and where he was traded from
what you guys should see is the video on nfl.com where they have the different reactions to the jay cutler-kyle orton trade. the video is called "trade winds" under chicago bears videos. the denver part is so FAKE and hilarious. they don´t seem to be as happy as the chicago fans.
Dont forget guys, that we picked up a great offensive lineman to help protect Cutler and open holes for Forte. Plus, our defensive line should be a hell of a lot better with (forgive my spelling) Maranelli coaching them. He may not of been a good head coach, but also look what detroit did to him--(receiver, receiver, and nothing else!) He is a great DL coach! Our veterans will look better, and some lineman- ( like Mark Anderson) who are young but were no-where to be seen last year, might just have an impact! I am a huge football nut, I watch NFL network and read a load of NFL mags during both season and offseason. Anyone ever want to discuss, hit me up! Go Bears!
A ?¿ was asked by matzleeach about my opinion of the Jay Cutler trade recently made? I think that´s probably the best way to start the groups forum going.
Well in my opinion I love it! I think it´s a definite upgrade. Don´t get me wrong. I liked how Kyle Orton played and think he was an alright fit in their offense and would have a definite boost in confidence and understanding of the offense this year. But, come on. As long as he´s not a lemon I am pretty sure he will push the bears to a new height. With Forte behind him taking a lot of the load off I think he will be very dangerous. That´s my humble opinion.
