I just played an unfamiliar variation of the Sicilian. Something along the lines of the O'Kelly Variation and the Nadjorf and the Alapin Variation 😒. I don't know my opening theory too well so don't pull my nails out just yet.

Analysis reveals that my opponent had the lead by 2.0 points (two pawns), but I had something better:

Nice transition from a dicey middlegame to a winning endgame! 2.a6 does limit your options a little bit, though, especially if your opponent plays these c3 lines.

Thanks Giraffe. Those c3 lines have been a pain on my board. It's like all of a sudden a few months ago, the Alapin Variation has been brought out to punish c5. I'm not quite sure how to play against it comfortably yet. I don't usually play 2...a6, I was just trying to Nadjorf it.

Do you have any suggestions to deal with c3? If you'd recommend a an opening or two I'd be happy to look into it. A video would be nicer.
