Can I just forewarn everyone how terrible of a game of chess this is? With that being said, this is the first ever game I played using the Trompowsky attack! If you were in the Opening MegaThread earlier today, you’d have seen me ask about the Trompowsky. Well, with the help of my friends here, I learned it’s attacking ideas and actually got to use it in a game today!
I think I may have been a little TOO focused on activating my light squared bishop, which caused me to ignore a pending pin that came on my queen.
Well, you know what they say about sub 1400 chess.. never resign!!! Lol, because my opponent would later blunder his queen in the end game, and I was able to fork his rook and king, too.
Ignoring all that, what do you think of the Trompowsky? I am surprised I got to play it, but I actually think I like the idea of it! I put all my pieces of dark squares (just like @icyyyboy told me) and felt like I had some power in my lsb! Of course, I blundered my queen but that’s besides the point
