A fact that caught my eye was this: "Discovered by Hubble in 2020, the star named Earendel is located an astonishing 28 billion light-years away"
Although that star is at a distance of 28 billion light-years, the light from it cannot have been travelling for much more than 14 billion years. This is the case because the very first stars only started to shine that long ago and before that there was no visible light.
