What about qh4?
King's Gambit
2. ... d5
2. ... d6
2. ... Nc6
Those are ways to decline too. What do you play against those? What do you play against 2. ... Bc5?
Nf3.
against those I just play natural moves. accept against d5 I play d4 there.
and 3. ... Qh4 is a bit laugable to an expierienced KG player (which I am not saying I am) its just eventualy you find the King is fairly safe on f1 provided you don't forget which file he is on
You play 1. e4 e5 2. f4 d5 3. d4!??
Then how do you continue after 3. ... exf4? You're going a pawn down with no compensation man.. :p
Oh and 3. ... Qh4+ (I assume after 1. e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Bc4), isn't that the main move there?
Kaspy said it was a good shot for both sides in a book. which someone proved (don't know who but) and then he was forced to play it in a game vs. Short and Kaspy got destroyed in like 15 moves. Kasparov got dealt an aweful hand, but he said the position had shots for both sides. anyway if you look at the other two thematic games from that set. Short had to play the Black side of the EG. and some other oppening, and he drew both of those. so he had a shot a dethrowning Kasparov.
what are your opinions of the following. I feel it is good and logical.
