I'm looking forward to your week 1 update ![]()
krolth45 Advanced study plan
So after a long break this week I was able to follow the plan for the week 1 of the advanced plan. I’m quite happy that I was able to play 4 rapid games during the week and follow the program. I want to be more structured with my take always but for now here are my notes to the games

hey Matt, it's an app called Notion (they have a web version too: http://notion.so) . It's ok, I'm not sure if it's much better than Excel (but I can use it in the tablet/phone which is convenient). They also have the concept of tags which I'm hoping once I have enough games it will let me figure out common patterns. I don't know if there is an option to share the pages, I'm using the free version so probably not ![]()
Last week was mostly focused on 10:0 games. It was hard for me to adjust to the faster pace of the game. I had time trouble related issues in most of my games.
This week I have been unable to play. For a bunch of reasons had to reduce the time that I dedicated to chess. So instead of playing without really concentrating I just did a little bit of tactics training every day (and analyzed the games from last week). Tomorrow I will start the "week3" from the Study plan.
This week I was trying to get back into the rhythm of playing in the mornings. I played 12 blitz games. Overall I did fine (8 points out of 12 games) against people in the 1900s range. My takeaways were that I should try not to fall behind on the clock (did much better with increment) and keep focused on looking at all threats.

Don't have the Yusupov book yet (arriving in Xmas), but I have a bunch of Strategy books that I've never read and I will substitute until the Yusupov series arrives. Current books I have are HTRYC and Hellsten Mastering Chess Strategy.
Excited to read the Ending book. I've had it forever but never found the motivation to go through it.
