I'd really like to get the Rapid score over 1000 by the 12 weeks.

Week 1 complete.
Blitz: 1088 (unchanged)
Rapid: 923 (-53). The worst loss was that first game I annotated on day 1. The best win was over a 1000-rated player:
Daily: 1318 (+95) after two victories. I entered the official 1200-1399 tournament. The designated game stands at
My candidate moves were:
- 9. Qd4, threatening to capture the h5 bishop and eye f7, but I didn't see a good response to 9 . . . Nf6.
- 9. g4, kicking the bishop, but I don't see a good followup and don't want to weaken my kingside.
So I chose to continue development with 9. Bf4.
Puzzles: 1249 (+354). This week, In addition to the 5 puzzles, I'm adding thematic puzzles on pins and rooks on 7th. It looks like my greatest unknown unknown was the pin tactic, creating pins and using pins to my advantage. I did the "capturing pieces" lesson for the study session.

End of Week 2.
Blitz: 840 (-244). Two things I must say: 1) It's ok to walk out on a bad streak, and 2) try and get some good sleep. I do seemed to have bottomed out and am climbing back up.
Best win: vs. 1079
Worst loss: vs. 789.
Rapid: 923 (unchanged)
Daily: 1255 (-63). A win and a couple of losses in the tournament. The game I've been posting here is going well, though. I'm comfortably up material and am trying to simplify.
Puzzles: 1384 (+ 135). I studied the "Opening Principles" lesson sequence.
Blitz: 1088
Rapid: 976
Correspondence: 1223
Puzzles: 895 (reset yesterday)
