Little Guinea Pig was nice enough to play a few rapid games with me, which were all very informative and fun! It was nice to see that I held my own a lot better since last time we played, although, of course, in the end they showed me I have a long way to go! Still, it was very fun!

In our third game, I played the fried liver attack. Little Guinea played a series of moves that they would inform me was known as the “Traxler Defense”, something I’ve heard of but never knew how to play. After watching them do it and not only successfully defend my fried liver attack, but also checkmate a few moves later, I was impressed and grateful of the lines I had just learned!

so, thought I’d share here for all of the fellow beginners. At our level, you play a loooot of fried liver attacks. This is a great line to play against them, as odds are they won’t know what hit them!
