Learning to be more aggressive as Black!

Correct and even the move right before the checkmate the analysis had me losing. Quite a few blunders? Like the sacrifice of the knight to open up the f-file or the fact that I ignored the queen when I saw the checkmate line without it with my king safe? I'm still learning and never said the game was played perfectly; just that I'm learning to be more aggressive and go for the win as black.

That knight sacrifice was a huge blunder. This is according to Stockfish 12.

But the checkmate was cool though

If you plan to progress in chess you have to assume your opponent will see the best response because as your opponents get stronger they will see the best response and if you play wrecklessly without considering your opponents best move it will take longer to grow.  You are at a good strength to buckle down and start grinding out wins. You played a good game.  You have the right idea. If you want the win you have to show some aggressiveness. Sometimes an aggressive move can be as simple as challenging the center or provoking an exchange (eg. Good bishop vs bad) to lead you on track for the better endgame. Yeah it said that but when I analyzed the game on Hiarc it wasn’t such a huge mistake but I understand the computer is looking for the perfect combo.

Every time I try aggressive as Black, I simply lose badly. This is in contrast to White, where when I try to play aggressive, I just lose. Sigh. No harm in being a quiet, positional player, I guess. 

I mean, I'm not that either. I would characterize my style of play as .... "generous". Because "idiotic and blundering" does not display good self-love.
