A book very keen on at the moment is Hawkins's " Amateur to IM".One of the main points of the book, which was lost on the reviewer at chesscafe, is learning how to self learn. This is done mostly in the context of endgames learning fundamental endgames, concepts like "little plans", and key positions in the first part of book. In the last part exploring more complex positions using ideas and concepts from first.
Here there are a few fundamental endgames, but the rook endgame ones lucena and phlidor seem to be missing. Chould post these using explanations from above book. They are covered many places but way done in Hawkins particularly good. Then chould explore more complex positions from peoples games. Valetin has done a bit of this already.
I ask the members with 2000+, what can you learn here?
