Sorry but lesson b is completely incorrect about 1. Nf3 d6, you can play 2. Ng5 f6 ( Kd7 #2 ) 3. Nf7 Qd7 ( * -> Nxd8# ) 4. Nxd6 for a queen and a pawn for a knight, making you lose your queen ( now white would go on to effectively play as black with black without a queen )
Always play 1. Nf3 **f6**
Also, as a 2150 atomic blitz player, 1. e4 is my absolute favorite, but you forget that other than e6, Nf3 or other f-h pawn moves, black loses to the queen zigzag 1. e3|e4 Nc6 ( often present in your examples ) 3. Qh5 g6 4. Qd5 d6 ( e6 -> Qxd7# ) 5. Qxf7#
