The Moon is not a planet and is called Luna by many astrologists. There are many other moons like Phobos and Deimos and to not confuse with the category of moons, some people call it Luna. Because it is so much smaller than the earth, its mass is also much smaller, wich makes its gravity a lot weaker. But a magnet is still very unnessecary as there is still gravity on the moon, just not as much on the earth. And pieces will not just float of the board, if they're denser than the moons Atmosphere. And I think, I once heard, that the moon has no atmosphere at all and that its just a complete vacuum and if that's the case, then there would be nothing keeping the pieces away from the board so a magnet is totally useless. Did you know, that every gram that goes into space costs thousands of dollars? Instead of taking that magnet with us, we should rather take something like food or air. Needing a magnet to play chess on a low gravity space body is the stupidest thing I heard this week. And remember when we once sent animals to the moon? I wonder, if they're still there unless they need air to breathe. But i won't be surprised if they don't, because the speceis that we sent there can tank almost anything. There is said to be ice on the poles, so we won't need to bring water. And scientists seem to have been able to grow terra plants in lunas dirt. Terra is also the name astrologists call earth. Does anyone want to add their mustard?
