The answer is 36queens. Bcoz we can take 2queens-one of us and our partner.2more of our opponent and our partner. 8 pawns each  of us,our partner,opponent and his partner.so the total will be 2+2+8+8+8+8=36. This one was a little tough but great efforts which i appreciate of u people
