I wonder though, do you have no problems with allowing claiming with a mere five point lead? To me it just sounds so unfair/random.
Lower the point value for King/Checkmate? (a discussion)

@_-__-__-___- In my rush and excitement I never read your 2nd sentence about the analysis and loading pgn etc. Naturally I knew what you meant had I read it, very embarrassing but true.
I'll get to #22 question next post.
The first thing I looked at were most of the games you posted. I was immediately curious as to why first placed changed. That would've been game over but once into the games they were all really explainable. For example: A player resigned in the Real game and won but in the test game didn't. Well he would've won in test game just wouldn't have resigned right then since he didn't have the right amount of points. Another game the player did not know about the claim win and blundered and got checkmated putting him in second place. In the test game he has more than enough points to still win even though he could've claimed win 33 moves earlier! These players were rated 992-1253 btw.
I have found, so far, that the higher rated games become very interesting. Very tight games after first mate and even some after second. That was a pleasure to see. I think the higher rated players would really appreciate it. More later oh wait I did notice that sometimes things are a point off where they shouldn't be. It wasn't recording the 1 pt. queen capture in the test game.
Thanks I hope you read this.

In all the Real games I looked at where a winner claimed win, he would've done the same thing here. Perhaps earlier however, I think. But since my research has come to halt (the link no longer goes to these settings) I can't find out any more results.
I did fine a fantastic game that perfectly showed how great the ending could be. But I sense it really doesn't matter to anyone that has a say.

i can put it back to 5 points. we tried winner takes all, and for my part i was tempted to resign or kamikaze as soon as i saw no chance to win solo, as 2nd = 4th.

No thank-you. You do a good job.
I have always had great respect for those "Geeks" "Nerds" in the world, even when I was young. I'm certainly not one, but your kind has sure made my life easier and profitable.
Good luck.
The game would last forever as there is not really much of a point to checkmate, as it is better to just take their pieces, which makes the game longer. That also means the one person who got a lot of points is now basically impossible to beat. And now, it is super easy to claim win because you only need to have 6 more points. That would be another reason when there is 3 kings on the board, to not checkmate, thus lengthening how long the game lasts.
LOL sorry I have never used the other chess test servers and didn't know the drop down window would appear. Wow, this is great... even if I'm wrong.
