Mafia 10: Double Digits, Double Death

Then they don't perform their night action.

It's time....

Jimmy Wuchagot stood on the roof of his apartment building, holding a sniper rifle he raided from his former patsy Po M. Pom's weapon stash. He knew the stakes were high: the other killer could be anywhere, and his target was most certainly him.
But there was another who needed to die: Fake Kasparov. His name may be fake, but his detective skills were as sharp as ever: he had outed both Po and Jimmy as scum, and nearly got them both killed. But Jimmy's silver tongue kept him alive, and convinced the crowd to lynch two citizens instead of two scum.
Jimmy spotted his target, and aimed for Fake Kasparov, following him with the crosshair as he walked. His beating heart made his aim waver slightly, but then his cold heart took over, and Jimmy shot Fake Kasparov clean through the head. He never knew what hit him.
But Fake Kasparov wasn't the only one with a bullet in his body: just after Jimmy had blown out Fake Kasparov's brain, his own hand was blown clean off, carrying the rifle with it over the edge. The remaining stump started oozing blood, and the blood collected and dripped like a leaky faucet.
Wincing in pain, Jimmy slowly turned around to face the other killer, who was none other than Patrick.
"So," Jimmy said, "you're the vigilante. I figured you would kill me, but you know it's pointless. Everybody worth saving is already dead! There's nobody left to save - so why bother?"
"No," Patrick replied, "I'm not a vigilante. I may be the killer, but I'm no friend of the citizens, or of you. I don't care about any of your miserable existences. I don't even care if I live: I just want the rest of you dead."
"Now, normally I would mutilate your living body, kill you, and mutilate you some more, but you've just presented me an even better way to kill you. You want your hand back? Well, here you go."
And with that, Patrick the Serial Killer kicked Jimmy off the roof, and watched with maniacal glee as he fell to his gruesome death.

For those of you who are too lazy to figure this out:

• Night 0: Kacparov checks pompom (other roles are useless)
• Night 1: The_Chess_King blocks pompom, pattrik kills pompom, Kacparov checks gimmewuchagot, pompom kills pattrik (you really thought I'd kill Kacparov?)
• Night 2: gimmewuchagot kills Kacparov, pattrik kills gimmewuchagot, Kacparov checks pattrik (assumably)

Kacparov (Weapons Dealer/Gunsmith) and killer-2 (EMT/Doctor) had the standard citizen win condition (you win if all opposing factions are dead, even if you are not alive).

The_Chess_King (Corrupt Policeman/Roleblocker) was on the side of the citizens, but he could only win if he was alive at the end of the game.

gimmewuchagot (Crime Boss/Usurper) and pompom (Weapons Dealer/Usurper) were both Usurpers. An Usurper is a mafia that can only win if a specific mafia in his faction is dead. In this game, gimmewuchagot could only win if pompom was dead, and vice versa. I included this to weaken the power of the mafia by forcing them to try to get each other lynched, since the mafia can't kill its own faction members.

pattrik (Serial Killer/Serial Killer) had the mystery role, which was Serial Killer. A Serial Killer is self-aligned (a one-man faction) and wins if everybody else is dead, even if he is not alive, so if everybody dies, then the Serial Killer gets the win.
Since the Serial Killer is such a hard role to win with, pattrik was given two boons. First, nobody knew anything about his alignment or role besides the fact that he could kill, so pattrik could have pretended to be a vigilante. Second, pattrik gave false results to the Flavor Cop - I allowed him to choose a fake flavor name. However, pattrik still investigated as "Positive" to the gunsmith.

Finally, I want to talk about the Flavor Cop. Even though that role didn't make it into this game, it was one of the more interesting roles. From his results, the Flavor Cop can ascertain both the alignment and the role of his targets - sort of. The EMT (Doctor) and Crime Boss (Usurper) are pretty easy to figure out. However, Corrupt Policeman and Weapons Dealer are flavor names that could be applied to multiple alignments, and to further complicate matters, the Gunsmith and one of the Mafia both investigated as Weapons Dealer. Finally, the Flavor Cop would get completely misleading results if he investigated the Serial Killer, because he got to choose what he investigated as.

Night 0

• pattrik chose the fake flavor name "Town Baker".
• Kacparov investigated pompom and received "Positive".

Night 1

• The_Chess_King roleblocked pompom.
• pompom (Mafia) tried to kill pattrik, but failed because he was roleblocked.
• pattrik killed pompom.
• Kacparov invesigated gimmewuchagot and received "Positive".

Night 2

• gimmewuchagot (Mafia) killed Kacparov.
• pattrik killed gimmewuchagot.
• Kacparov tried to investigate pattrik, but failed because he was killed first.

For Mafia 11, I'm thinking of just doing a normal game - no new roles or new theme. Since it looks like we'll have 7 players for the next game, I'm thinking of arranging it like this:

Yes, the roleblocker/spy mafia team still has their factional kill. One of the mafia is randomly chosen to be the boss, and the other randomly chosen to be the hitman. Also, everybody will have the normal win condition - there won't be any Usurpers or other win conditions besides the standard one (you win when all other factions are dead, even if you are not alive).
