How do you even play the KID against e4?  That lack of knowledge shows that your opinion is irrelevant

anhbao123

Now learn all the other line

KID is a D4 line.

Unless you learned a ton more not said in this thread...then you haven't really learned "theory" in 5 min. - all you did was memorize one of the mainlines grin.png

Impressive to memorize for 5 min., but "theory" is more about understanding the ideas, motifs, plans for each side, contrasting variations of same opening, adapting to opening repertoire based on middlegames positions and so on.

p.s. I'm familiar with this Caro line as well and I don't even play this opening xD

Honestly if you learnt all that theory and remembered it in 5 minutes you have serious potential.

Learning a line in 5 minutes is easy. The hard thing to learn an opening is you need to learn a line for each response from the opponent and put all of them in long term memory.

there are so many openings where you Fianchetto your bishop so you'll have to put a diagram in to represent what you're trying to say

THECHESSMAN_78

Im not even gonna try anymore
