Make R&G vs B&Y as rated FFA

My suggestion is to put this mode (Red & Green vs Blue & Yellow) to count as a FFA rating and move it to have a check box in FFA section. Not to be rated as variants, but actual FFA rated game the same as normal rapid FFA competing for the leaderboard spot. I don't mean this to be forced, but just an option of FFA, leaving the normal FFA as it is. It would be perfect (if it's only R&G vs B&Y for 4 player stage) if after first checkmate happens there are no allies anymore and it becomes FFA from 3 player stage. But it doesn't matter, even if it's R&G vs B&Y the whole game as teams and rating system the same as teams, but it goes to FFA rating it's still good. I think this is way better than WTM. Also, my "teammate" can't see my arrows of course and you can't invite a teammate into the game of course.

You're asking that a teams variant get counted as a FFA variant? I'm not following you. If there are 2 people on the same team, then is it a teams variant. It can be a lot of things, but not an FFA pretty much by definition.

This doesn't really look like a teams variant to me. I think skill in FFA is more necessary than teaming skill. 2v1 won't happen that easily here because your "teammate" can defend/stop the attack by not doing much. It can be like red vs blue, green vs yellow. Promotion on 8th rank, so stopping from queening first like in FFA. How in the world could this be a teams variant? People who play teams have nothing to do with this variant.

FFA is not a team variant, but it's played (100%) like team variant, team players play it, it became teams. The variant I mentioned reflects on FFA more than it does on teams.

It won't ever be a 2v1 because by definition it is a 2v2. Your teammate has an incentive to help you: they lose if you lose.

Where are you getting promotion on 8th rank? I tried it and is is 11 by default.

Normal teams players playing has nothing to do with whether or not it is a "teams variant".

So your argument is that it plays like FFA, which apparently plays like Teams?

Promotion on 8th rank is in FFA mode. I mean, using the code for this game mode (R&G vs B&Y) to make 4 player stage look like FFA. It would be cool if you could declare a war in 3 player stage by capturing your teammate's piece or by checking your teammate while you can't do any of that in 4 player stage. It's just playing 4 player stage by a rule, or the whole game for starters. You wouldn't know how it will be played out, we can only guess.

Umm so this would be team?

Looks like a variation of teams, where it is still a 2v2. Don't know how this would fall under ffa?
