Math Help

I'm in 7th grade, and i love math, but i'm not that good at math, yet still i'm good for my grade and always willing to help if possible. Is anyone willing to give help of any sort?

a_(i+1)=2a_i-a_(i-1)+6

a is the elements in your sequence.. and i is the number of the element. .. Eg: if i=3 then we have a_4=2a_3-a_2+6 .. which becomes a_4=2*30-14+6=52 ..of course there is a problem if you want to find a_1 with this equation, since you don't know what a_-1 is ..  so there may be a better solution, but this was the first thing I thought of..
