Mentor program. Main tasks.

i just started learning the QGD, and have trouble on end game study, I think the problem is my calculations. Can you recommend any DVD, books or any computer programs?

I'm currently working out of "winning chess exercises" for kids, I can't believe this is a kids book, I feel like a fool! I wonder if they even make an adult version, this must be some kind of inside chess joke! I know lets make a chess exercise book that is fairly difficult and say its just for kids; then watch the average guy sink into his chair after a few minutes and develop an inferiority complex.

I find often I have to play defensively. I can start off agressively but some where it changes and I would like to know what I am missing so I can change that pattern.

Hi Lillies you are doing well in our current game. The only thing I sense is the game is progressing slowly so it is hard to tell where you might go wrong in our game. So far I see no errors but that is just my own perspective.

the game ended with a typical checkmate, therefore I suggest you do tactics training and a lot of puzzles, so that you can see such checkmates and know how to avoid them, if you like we can do a training game where you can undo moves and I can give you a few hints, I'm for sure not one of the strongest player but I saw a few easy to avoid mistakes in your game against bobslo :)
to your defensive problem, I tend to play over aggressive and recently learned that playing an equal situation calm is not always a mistake :D

Hi Gourmat...
I'm glad to know playing a defensive game at times is fine. I'll try some of the puzzles and try to do some tactics training.. hopefully it will be just what I needed..I'll be ready to try a training game once I lower the amount of games I am playing... Thanks

just send me a request when you find the space, a lower amount of games might also help, focus on 5 instead of 15 and see if you get better :)
I'm going to work with beginners (<1400). I have 2 places free.
