I ask out of curiosity.
Mini variants.

Mini War For Throne: This was actually called "War For Thron Chronicles," as there were mutiple WFT variants (The one we see today is WFT II). It was renamed to take up less space.
Mini Forest: It's half the size of a normal chess board, or if you're 2bHNST, it's Enchanted Woodland but smaller and no spells. (Serious answer is the first one).
Minihouse: It's crazyhouse but 6x6.

Salvation Bastions isn't mini.
Colour Blinds isn't mini.
Enchanted Woodland is a sequel to Mini Forest, and isn't mini.

Their descriptions contain the word "mini", which is why they appeared.
- "The woodland and its magical inhabitants await in this cross between Mini Forest and Spell Chess"
- "Hold the balance between attacking and developing to win in this fairy miniature"
- "Extremely dynamic and eventful, miniature version of standard teams with fairy pieces"
Enchanted Forest is not a mini variant in any way; if anything, it is the larger counterpart to Mini Forest, although then you're starting to get into chicken and egg stuff. Granted, Bastion Salvations does have a somewhat misleading description, but Color Blinds uses the word for more of a "fancy word" type feel.
Mini variants are small (or supposed to be) variants or small variations of others. At the moment there are only 6 mini variants, but I have a question, why did they create mini variants?
