I knew this forum would have to be started sooner or later, so I just started it!!!

It is for those of us to post about miracles in our lives.

I'll start by posting one that happened just yesterday.  We were helping an older lady move into her new house.  To get the furniture in we took out drawers and carried them in.  Well as her son (20 something) was passing me he started to drop one of his drawers filled with papers, and other miscellaneous stuff.  Well, I was in the right position that I just turned and caught all of the stuff except one item.  The uncaught item was a 1" fish hook with a 2oz weight attached.  One can only think of what might have happened if it caught my wrist...  So, I thank God that I was there to catch the stuff before it fell and blew away, and that I wasn't punctured in the process.

In the past, after church service, I have had money suddenly appear in my pocket that couldn't have been there naturally.  Praise God. :)

Very intersting stuff. I haven't had any particullarly relevant expreiences I can recall I'm afraid.

I have been involved in a car accident in which the oncoming cars' driver was hit by another car. He was passed out behind the wheel and could not have turned the wheel to avoid me, but the wheel turned nonetheless. The car missed what should have been a head on collision and did minimal damage to my truck. I give all the credit and glory to God for saving me from a crippling or deadly accident. I also thank Him for the recovery of the other driver.

I can't think of any stories to share.

Look into your daily life, where do you see things that God has worked in.  Many of these "stories" could be attributed to luck.  After all, I was lucky to not get caught by that fishhook, but I believe that God was watching out for me and protecting me while I was serving.

Actually once taking a differnt approach, I realised that there I did have a relevant story. When I was about 8 or so, my family lived in a house at the bottom of a HUGE steep driveway. One time my mum had driven me and my siblings home from school, and then braked at the very top getting out to collect the mail from the letterbox. Then the handbrake failed, and the car went speeding down. However, rather than continuing down the drive into someone elses house a hundred meters down, it got diverted onto the highest neighbours lawn and was stopped by a tree. Could have potentially been very lasty, but the worst damage sustained was on my mothers leg from attempting to jump back in when it took off. God must have had something to do with that.

I've seemed to have so many they would be hard to recall!

But I thank God for everyone! Sometimes we think a miracle has to be this big thing but God works in secret with His still small Voice.

Absolutely

Hi everyone. Just thought I would share a few things here.

There is one thing  I am certain of, and that is that The Lord God is in total control, and that his hand is directly around myself and my family. After a work place accident in 2002, I damaged my lungs and was left struggling for every breath I took for around 9 months. I was constantly coughing, often coughing up large amounts of blood and very short of breath, so was very limited in what I could do. In my own wisdom, I sought the help of doctors, who gave me inhalers to inhale and steroids to swallow etc. Nothing seemed to fix the problem long term. It was not until I was reading through Chronicles and I came across King Asa in 2 Chronicles Chapter 16.

King Asa the King of Judah was a King loyal to the Lord. Azariah told Asa, 'The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found with you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you...' Baasha, the King of Israel came up against Judah, so Asa took Gold and Silver from the treasuries of the house of the Lord and sent it to Ben-Hadad, King of Syria, requesting to make a treaty requiring Ben Hadad to attack some of the cities of Israel causing the King of Israel to withdraw from Judah. Hanani the Seer then told Asa, ' because you have relied on the King of Syria and not on the Lord your God, therefore the King of Syria has escaped from your hand...in this you have done foolishly; therefore from now you shall have wars'.

Later King 'Asa became diseased in his feet and his malady was very severe; yet in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but the physicians. So Asa rested with his fathers; he died...'

While I was reading this, I was holding an inhaler in my hand about to suck up some more of this medication, when I suddenly realised that In my own situation, I also was running to the doctors and that I had not called upon the Lord for help. I immediately prayed asking for forgivness for not calling upon the Lord earlier, and asked for his help. After praying, I grabbed all my medication that I was relying heavily upon, and put it all in the rubbish bin, then went off to bed for the night. When I woke up in the morning, there was no sign at all from my lung problems; no coughing, no wheezing, I was able to take long deep breaths in without problems, and I had lots of energy. I was completely healed.

I am currently going through another long term Illness that was first noticed in November 2007. My physical appearance changed when I lost all my hair from the neck up, and in patches on my arms and legs. My eyesight has deteriorated quite badly, and I can have long periods of pain in my arms and legs that varies from aches, through to at times, extreme pain, along with other symptoms. I have called upon the Lord to heal me of this problem but to date this affliction is still with me. I could ask why is this still happening, but I know that God is in complete control. As we read in Job, Satan had to ask permission to be able to touch Job. He could touch Job so far and then go no further because the Lord had said no further! Nothing can happen if God does not allow it. Can sickness affect us if God does not allow it? Can the evil one harm us if God does not permit it? God is a righteous God, and all his ways are just. He is the one who says in his word, 'and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose'. Paul in the new testament had a similar experience. Paul had healed many people through the power of God working through him yet he also had what he called, 'a thorn in the flesh... a messenger of Satan to buffet me...' Paul writes, 'Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.'

Some people could ask, 'How can my problems be used for good?' The answer is that God is my strength and other people can see this. Satan might be able to touch my body, but he can not touch my soul, or snatch me out of the hand of the Lord. My heart remains with the Lord and my future is with him long after I have breathed my last. After all, our lives in this world are but a vapour that appears for a little while and then it vanishes away. Compared to eternity, our time in this world is but a breath.

The Lord has continued to be with me while I am going through this illness. I shifted countries from New Zealand to Australia after seeking the Lord on this change. As a result of seeking the Lord when shifting, He prevented me from going to a City in New Zealand that suffered a large earthquake recently. I ended up in a suburb in Queensland that was badly affected by flooding, with well over 400 houses in this one suburb that are now uninhabited due to serious water damage. One of these houses was a house I was trying to move into, but the Lord prevented me from moving into this house, and kept me unaffected from the flood water.

During this flood, I decided to take some photos of the rising flood water. While standing in the rain under a power line, I felt something run down my arm and heard a cracking sound follwed by a popping noise from the camera. While looking at the camera trying to figgure out what just happened, my children started calling out, 'Dad, are you alright?' They had just seen lightning come down to my arm, destroying the camera I was holding. I was completely unscathed from the incident. I was completely protected and now have a better camera than what I originally had!

The Lord is the one who is right beside me and will never walk away! Great is our God!

BasketballPlayer, you are absolutely rightEmbarassed. Our very lives only exist because of our God. We take so many things for granted. Our God has been doing many great things for us long before we were even aware. It is a marvelous thing to realise God loves each and everyone of us even when we were His enemies (refer Romans 5:8 actually, read the whole chapter). His gifts to us who do not deserve them are truely wonderful gifts that are too often unnoticed.
