Also the creator of the site sends out research that he's done on visualization in the scientific realm of things. it pretty fascinating. He also responds to message pretty frequently if you have questions.

Hey, has OP or anyone else tried the membership for https://dontmoveuntilyousee.it ? I signed up for their emails which at this point have been pretty informative but am considering trying the paid lessons out as I begin my blindfold chess journey, and was hoping someone had tried it and could provide some feedback on it.

Yes - I have. I purchased a 4 hour block of consulting time with Aiden late last year, and my next session with him is next week.

I decided I needed to speak with him, immediately after I saw Dr. Can's Chess Clinic interview with him on Cracking Chess Visualization and Working Memory: Expert Tips from Aiden Rayner.

Having gone through other materials, such as purchasing ChessFox's blindfold course PDF, and reading the book "Blindfold Chess History, Psychology, Techniques, Champions, World Records, and Important Games", and so on, I've come to the conclusion that Aiden is the most current expert on the subject of teaching blindfold chess to adult learners, and I've grown to have a great deal of respect for his dedication to such a niche craft.

That said, seeing him is like seeing any other coach, or a therapist. 99.9% of the time, the individual is going to be on their own, and their progress is going to up to their own decisions, their own hard work, and probably a bit of luck and happenstance.

But me - I'm one of those people, perhaps the silent majority, who when they close their eyes, and try to visualize even a couple of chessboard squares, don't see a thing, just black, with some occasional hazy blobs. If, one day, someone manages to help me be able to play through chess games in my mind, that, to me, would seem an incredible accomplishment.
