Yes, I'll admit I missed Re3. Doesn't seem to be much to do from there, anyway for reference (since I deleted my previous comment)

39....Qxe4

40. Bxf7+  Kh8

41. Bd5 Qe1+

42. Kg2 e4!

43. Rf4

(43. Qa5 exf3+ 44. Kxf3 45.Qxc3+ Kg2 46. Rb8)

43... e3!

Last move was one of the worst so far. Complete waste of a tempo, and they do matter here (if not quite as much as in a Yugoslav attack). But we should admit that Qb7 was a dopy block of the rook from two useful squares by moving it again. We have to accept that it will be clear the play is not consistent from one move to the next. Also, to get a decent move voted will take some doing unless one is close to the lead.

Ps. Sorry for the posts all over the place, these are the first couple of posts I've made on this site.

Just thinking how hilarious it is to take two moves to get the queen to a7 against a GM. Did no-one draw attention to the alliance views last move?

savyma,

Your line plays Qe8 before Bd5 for white and doesn't address Qc6 at all.  I had both those moves in my line, not sure how spelling out the moves is vague...

Elroch, i cannot rememebr it was you or Balticknight or Estragon or... who suggested that Natalia will move Bd5.

assuming this, and considering you said the what is the purpose of Qa7, i found that there is a better move which achieves the same purpose and prevents her from moving her pawn to h4 for the time being. Qd7.

But assuming that Kf8 is the logical response and OUR ROOK is out of her queen's fury and our bishop beautifully block her rook there is no real threat, we can move Kf8 then with Bd5 we move Qd7 and the game is blocked. because if Bxf7 right now we capture bishop and she cannot capture our a6 pawn.

PLEASE VOTE FOR   "Kf8",      she cannot do Bxf7 for the points i mentioned above, Qa7 is a serious Blunder we will lose the position we have achieved so far.

MostWanted147, it is best to be a little more reserved in your conclusions.

39. ... Qa7 40. h4 Rb7 is clearly a move that is necessary to consider. And to save bother you could find it in dsarkar's post #9, where it was found to be ok.

MostWanted - Sending a knee-jerk mass mailing to the group when your analysis hasn't been confirmed by anyone else (and indeed, it appears to be incorrect) only serves to undermine the purpose of this group, which is to have discussion of the moves in order that we can double-check and test each other's ideas.

Worse, it has clearly attracted a large number of naive voters.

Interesting. liptak is supporting 39. ... Kf8, but I have yet to see convincing analysis for this move.

Losing the last turn might of put the nail in the coffin..

Problem = attack on f7 and lack of defensive coordination and passed queenside pawn.  Solution = take back last turn and defend f7 and prepare to blockade passed pawn.

Sorry for the optimism : )
