my 2nd game against Hikaru Nakamura

Hikaru played the Scandinavian with Qd8 and his key moves were 12..Ne8! and b5-b4 followed by c5-c4-c3.

I should have tried f4-f5 and Qf4 at various points. his last move c2! ends the game as if I capture his knight, he promotes and i cannot prevent c2-c1=Q, therefore creation of a passed pawn was the central theme for Black.

This was an 3 minutes blitz arena during his stream on Twich.

Wow that's awesome ,I think that you leave that his pawn advanced so much and maybe that was the final countdown.

I am not lucky because I am 0-2. Lucky would be to score a draw or win if Hikaru gets distracted by chat and stream which could happen.

It is not random that I play him. Basically I score wins in the tournament, so does Hikaru and the algorithm finds an opponent for Hikaru which has a similar score. so I were to score 2 out 4 in the first 4 games, I wouldn't be paired with Hikaru in the arena tournament. I did not sub on Twich and  keep in mind Hikaru played 8 or 9 games that day in total and won the tournament ( interestingly he lost 1 game and won all the others )

Hikaru is the best blitz chessplayer in the world 😊
