This tournament was quite a new experience for me. I approached the positions like a lunatic would and tried to play in the manner of a weak, poor man's Shirov instead of my usual approach.
Game 1:
After receiving a post-game beat down by most of the chess team for almost losing that match, I entered round 2 with fiery will to checkmate
I feel pretty good right now, and now that we're about to play Blue Ridge in the 3rd round, I'm really excited to pound them into the ground
Day 2! I'm ready to play some solid chess and demolish Kingman
I'm feeling pretty bleh here, and now I'm going into what should be my easiest win
Overall impressions: while it was the worst AIA tournament I ever played in, I learned about my limitations and weaknesses, which is a good thing to know now rather than later
