Norse mythology is the best

Haha, I like all mythology but I have to admit that Norse mythology is pretty mordbidly gruesome. Give up an eye and hang yourself on a tree for knowledge? Sure, Odin… sounds legit. Force yourself into a wedding dress to steal back your hammer? Nice one, Thor.

All mythology is gruesome if you dig deep enough lol

Any thoughts on the myth of the Trojan War? Why does everyone blame Helen? Why did Achilles decide to go into battle in sandals, leaving his ONLY weak spot uncovered? And, why the heck did the Trojans decide to let a big hollow horse statue into their city?

Well, cause they thought it was a gift from the Greeks.

Achilles wasn’t protecting his heel because he didn’t know it was his weak spot

People in Greek mythology are either really evil or really stupid

Or both. And then you've got gods like Zeus who are just focused on fathering as many children as possible...

Then we've got Loki, who mothered a horse...

Loki also fathered dragons, trolls, and giants

I guess after existing for millenia, the only new things in your life are the ones that you create

After years and years of war, the Greeks just surrender? And the Trojans jut believed them?

You'd think someone would have the sense to be suspicious. Oh wait, there was someone. His name was Laocoon, and he hit the Trojan Horse with a spear to expose the Greeks... but then Athena sent two seprents to kill him and his sons when he tried to warn the Trojans.

Yeah, I kind of saw that coming.
