I would like them to delete all my positions, forum posts and other stuff related to me if they still want to get rid of that "tails-two-hundred-four" totally.
I'm fine with that. All I wanted to do is to make this place better because I loved this game.

I believe that there's nothing related to 'popularity' or something like that and I'm sure that this is just another bunch of beautiful words they are using like my local corrupt politicians, who expect that I will believe them again.
I don't need you to believe me. The stats are there for anyone to find; Double-check me if you want -- it's your prerogative.

The variant has run its course. As much as I want to have a static list of 20-30 really good variants, and never change that list, creators (like yourself) are constantly presenting fresh ideas, and players are constantly altering their desires and voicing their opinions through which games they play most often. We would be blind to ignore such things.
They need masterpieces like Warp speed or the Guardians of the Hill.

It's not a matter of which variants are "good," or us playing favourites with positions based on who created them. It's simply about supply and demand. We adjust supply based on demand. I'm not smart enough to evaluate every single position based on its tactical merits, novelty, or any other subjective measure of complexity. All I do is see what's being played, and keep those.

Thanks for the statistics!

Thank you for showing the statistics. Unfortunately, it seems to be true and the fact that these players aren't interested in tactical and balanced games is more than a sad thing.
People prefer chaos over order, and at the same time, monotony over diversity.
Personally, I don't care about 4PC anymore, but it's just interesting to see that these people don't need something really original in its approach.
They need literally the same positions, games, ideas, principles, again and again.
I believed that 4PC is able to change people's minds, but now we got another boring and totally sick game like classical chess. People just play, and they don't want to move forward.
I'm not sure if you understand what I want to tell you, but this game was something more for me than just another way of spending free time.

over Excelsior and other positions, based on order and aesthetics - why do you play it?

This community and these players continue to show that they aren't interested in good games. They need masterpieces like Warp speed or the Guardians of the Hill. According to Grable's words, these positions were more popular than mine. So, if it's true, there's definitely something wrong with these players.
Probably.
