What on earth do you need the fen4 for? it's three clicks from a linked game (2 if they link from game start -0)
they are ugly and clog up posts. pics hurray (but links to -0 are almost as good), fens, nay. If anything, ask for pgn4, to it includes the rules too (..but that's also just 2 clicks away).

What was this thread about? Oh right, the NCP. Unfortunate news Tails - I'm afraid our testing revealed some (almost) forcing mating lines. The amazon is very powerful, and combined with the pawns, is extremely difficult to be stopped by a mere rook and bishop. Some changes are in order. Perhaps change out the amazon, or place the amazon elsewhere (although I don't know where, because the queens are already a dominating presence in the centre). Another idea would be to give the general a few more pieces with which mate can be adequately defended. Either way, when/if you do make changes, please submit it separately to this one.
