New Athens

The Akamantis Tribe is one of the ten tribes of New Athens which are each run by their own Phylarch (tribal chief). The tribes train in war games (vote chess) against each other but all tribes fight as one against enemies of New Athens in battles (matches) organised by the Generals of New Athens.

Fierce Hoplites should join New Athens and get into Phalanx Formation to bring honour and glory to yourself, your tribe and New Athens.

i would be interested in joining your group but i am pretty unfamiliar with this vote chess concept.  i tried it once and could never to return to the site at a time where i could participate in the next move.  i sure i just wasnt paying enough attention. anyway i got board with it and i stopped playing. would you be able to explain this website in a little more detail.  thanks phydeaux

and also please excuse my typing errors as my typing is crapola.  i try to edit and correct but im afraid my editing skills are like my chess skills. i can never see everything i need to see :(

Hahaha. You're typing skills are good enough since you're able to spell "crapola" correctly.

The best thing to do, my friend, is get involved in one of our games. If it's not the kind of thing you find interesting then that's ok. But I suspect that your past VC games were just badly run ones. I think our VCs are very active and intelligent.

We have very strong players who take the time to explain concepts to less experienced players. I think you'll enjoy it.

I'll recommend you join New Athens and take part in the VC "Athens vs Rome". The conversation there is very instructive.
