how do you play it but... it is not letting me play it
New chess variant: The Storm (playable!)
Can you at least spend time and actually play it, and not just be so lazy to just read the description?
Just some strategic observations on the variant:
Rooks and bishops severely decrease in relative importance. In fact, having an N versus R endgame in The Storm is usually a victory for the knight. N versus B is also usually a win for a knight.
Pawn structure is paramount. Pawn structure is what determines how you should play - you should aim to either gain a:
1. An extra kingside pawn
2. A non-pawn material advantage
3. Trade all pieces and occupy kingside with your king
Gambitting pawns on the queenside for a faster development is really useful, as queenside pawns do not dictate the course of the game while piece development is a major factor.

Rules:
1. Additional type of squares is added - storm squares. Any piece but king which is on the storm square is immediately removed from the board. Suicidal moves on storm squares are allowed. More and more storm squares appear as the game progresses. Players are warned what will the next storm squares be.
2. If a king appears to be on a storm square, the king must immediately move out of that square. If the king cannot move out of that square, this player loses. This game end is called "Dismantling".
3. If a king appears to be on a storm square and it is your opponent's move, you lose by "Dismantling".
4. If two "Dismantling" events occur simultaneously, the game is declared a draw.
5. There is no 3-fold repetition, insufficient material, or 50-move rule.
6. If a player is stalemated, and his king has at least one adjacent storm square, the stalemated player loses (as his king could potentially suicide to storm square, meaning inevitable zugzwang loss. If a stalemated player has no adjacent storm squares, the game is declared as a draw.
7. If a storm square appearing allows one opponent to capture the enemy's king, capturing the enemy king is an alternative to checkmating the enemy king.
