New chess variant (yup)

This variant might be weird.

The starting position looks like this:

The rules are the same as chess, except for this only change:

- A pawn can only promote to a bishop, knight and rook.

I had this idea while playing with my friends.

Why???

We custom variant creators spend days or even weeks making a position, and you guys post a forum about this?

White is winning at the start of the game due to the easy access to the promotion zone on the queenside. Although Black has similar easy access, White goes first and is therefore winning. So, this variant doesn't work.
