I get it, but this would have the exact same effect. Some people will like it, some wont. Not all variants have players at all- so nobody likes them. Why not make something with good potential a reality?

if you want, you could even make either a new one or make it customable where you can choose how many people on a team. if you do the max amount should be around 5 per team
Making 3 player or 4 player teams should work, 5 might be a bit too much. There is literally so much potential with this idea. Especially alternating. Why put it down when you've never tried it? Again, the coding of it doesnt seem complex.
No. Vote chess is multiple people vote on one move. Not one player plays a move, then another plays a move

well I meant where each person makes a different move. player 1 makes move 1, player 2 makes move 2, player 3 move 3, etc.

or what if chess.com made a whole new branch for things like this? I'm not sure what else could be added to it but it could be called team variants in the play tab. like the variants were made into this format. imagine horde being played 3 vs. 3

There actually is a team variants tab, but this isnt a part of it and nobody plays them lmao
To clarify, its not normal variants in a team mode

oh ok. just thought of it when he said make it somewhere else. thought it would be pretty kool.
It still is a "variant" of normal chess. Perhaps it could be called the "team chess" tab

Im not the most familiar with variants, but i meant the tab "team variants" when you click on "4 player chess and variants" and then "more" and THEN "team variants" Of course you can play teams 4PC.

To me it seems like the player count is basically 0 all of the time.
I'm just saying that team chess is basically dead, and this could revitalize it, atleast a little.

There are so many variants with absolutely no players that were implemented, and this would surely have atleast a couple dozen of players at a time
