what do you dislike about this variant
New idea: V-chess
you forgot something. There are still two pieces, the Prime Minister, and the dragon is not just an S-chess

Classic chess, but with the addition of four new pieces, which are placed on the last line (1 horizontal for white, 8 for black)
New pieces:
Hawk - moves like bishop+knight.
Elephant - moves like rook+knight
Prime-minister - moves like bishop+king
Dragon - moves like rook+king
Hi
does your new pieces replace classic pieces. If it’s the case explain which ones are replaced. If not please explain how these new pieces join the game.
the dragon in your game is a Crowned Rook, a known piece
the same for the Prime-minister it’s the crowned Bishop
The other pieces are Archbishop (BN) and Chancellor (RN).
i tried myself in my games using Queen like pieces. They tend to distord the game especially on the 8x8 board too small for such number of very strong pieces.
Anyway, it’s a nice idea worth the trial
They come into play when the classic pieces leave the last line, after which they can be placed on the free field of the last rank
(placing takes a turn)

agreeable; A bit different with s-chess; as we have 4 additional pieces Rather than 2; We Can't gate Right after moving

I saw this. I also thought about a chess variant of my own named Musketeer Chess. The drop mechanism is also different from S-Chess. Your idea was part of C-Chess also knows as camaratta Chess. Not a very well known chess variant but it was invented around late ninetees by Mr Frank Camaratta, a now retired NASA engineer and he is a friend of mine that's why i knew about his game when i invented mine.
For me the most important is that Chess Variants become more and more popular.
