I was the primary person who made the seven changes that drastically improved SCA altogether, so let me give a recap of these changes:
1. 1-point queen was swapped with a camel, and then 1-point queen was again swapped to a rook. This allowed a strong middlegame and endgame piece (rook) to be brought out earlier for defense due to the dead pawn arrangement, and it had built some setup for attacking the attacking side itself. In addition, the 1-point queen is easier to bring out now and now fully balances the ratio of attacking and defending pieces.
2. Amazon promotion was useless, because of its immense value, so it was changed to the 1-point queen which has no less control in middlegame but is worth 11 fewer points.
3. Knight was swapped for wazirs to make up for more positional attacks and delay tactical ones, and improve defense overall.
4. Ox4 was calculated to be the best OxN to correctly balance the correlation between weak opposites and point distribution as compensation.
5. Wazir was replaced by a dabbaba-rider which allows for rather unique attacks and easier defense, making the position more varied and complicated. It especially works well together as the opposite can win 20 points for it.
6. Four more dead pawns were added to make dabbaba-rider unable to attack too early.
7. Time control was speeded up to make games more exciting
