Aren't red/yellow just completely lost? In the first example, instead of blue's 5th move Nc6 blue can just play Bb9+ and green will then take the bishop on f14 with check and mate follows soon after.

You're right. it's -9 because green has a queen, but I also think that it's hard for blue/green to make progress because blue does't have too much material, and only green's queen isn't enough for mate.
