Hi all! Recently I sent a message to Chess.com regarding a new Chess variant, but they said I should probably also forward it here to get some opinions from the community, so here it is:
Terachess on Jocly Game Control
I'm proposing for the Chess.com Variants Team to add to the website my personal favourite Chess variant: Terachess! Terachess is a variant of Chess where the board is much, and I mean MUCH bigger (16x16 to be exact); there are a ton of new pieces (64 pieces per side! You can read about how each piece moves on the link section at the bottom.); and a lot of chaos and fun to be had. Although the mechanics of the game and the goal (checkmate the King) is still the exact same as in regular Chess, in terms of Chess variants which add new "fairy" pieces to the game this has got to be the most creative and fun one that I have tried so far. Currently, however, it is impossible to play Terachess online against other people, which is why it would be great if it could be added to Chess.com, also so that more people can learn about it.
That's basically it! Let me know what you all think, and if you agree that Terachess is suitable enough to be added as a Chess variant to Chess.com, I guess feel free to show your support by liking this topic! Thanks guys, and thanks Chess.com for replying to my suggestion
Currently, variants are limited to 14*14. Also, if it's being directly taken from another site, there might be some questions there. Personally, it looks very similar to XXL.
