I like the format on these Opening Lessons

Thanks! It's one thing to memorize the openings and know what to do when your opponent replies accordingly, but it's much more important to know why you're making those moves to begin with. Books on the subject are often convoluted and can be daunting if you're trying to figure out a way to learn about the opening without pouring over hundreds of variations, and even then most books fail to really get to the point of the opening. These files are simple and easy dealing with the basics of the opening and why the moves are made, with some good pointers at the end. I think it's best for people who casually play and are looking for a basis for the opening theory. Wonderful contribution.

Thank you!

I would like to find books on openings structured a bit like "Silman's Complete Endgame Course". Books trying to convey the basic ideas of Openings in small chunks.

Those are nice.  Gives you a chane to easilly try out a few openings to see what fits your eye.  Then you can decide which ones you want to really go deeper into.  I like the fact that they have brief descriptions for each, instead of 10-12 pages of theory.  Good find farbor.
