cool puzzle. Simple once you see the point
Old but difficult puzzle, can you solve it?

solution: 1.h7 gxh2 2.h8=n g3 3.ng6! fxg6 4.f7 g5 5.f8=n g4 6. ne6 dxe6 7.d7 e5 8. d8=n e4 9. nc6 bxc6 10. bxc6 b5 11. c7 b4 12. c8=n! b3 13. nd6 (or e7) b2 14. nxe4 (or nf5) b1=q 15. nxg3#(highlight to see)

@bakimikic If white did h7, white would respond with gxh2, therefore stopping white from pawn promotion as it would result in stalemate.

@bakimikic If white did h7, white would respond with gxh2, therefore stopping white from pawn promotion as it would result in stalemate.
if the black pawn takes, then they can still move the black pawn on g4

Hmm.
h7 gxh2
h8=N g3
ng6 fxg6
f7 g5
f8=n g4
ne6 dxe6
d7 e5
d8=n e4
nc6 bxc6
bxc6 b5
c7 b4
c8=q b3
What's after that?

Warning: solution below
1. h7 gh 2. Promote to knight g3 3. Ng6 forcing fxg then 4. f7 g5 5. Promote to knight again g4 6. Ne6 again, forcing dxe6 7. d7 e5 8. Promote to knight again e4 9. Nc6 again forcing black to take: bxc6 10. bxc6 b5 11. c7 b4 12. Promoting to knight again; avoiding stalemate b3 13. Ne7 b2 14. Nf5 And unstoppable mate on g3 xD
