I'm >1800. I think e4/5 is probably the best opening, but I generally play e3/e6 because I enjoy the tactics it produces after Qf3/Qf6. All other openings seem kinda meh except maybe c6 with black. A note to beginners: d4 shouldn't be played in the opening until after c3 as your king just gets slaughtered otherwise.
