Hi everyone. I recently moved to Red Deer and I'm hoping to start a weekly chess meetup for players in the area. I had in mind something pretty informal to begin with: perhaps players could bring their own sets and meet at a coffee shop to play casual games. I started a group like this in Vancouver and it got to be pretty successful. I know that some players currently meet Monday evenings at Dawe library from 5-6pm, so perhaps we could expand on that.
