Petrosian Game Database

Does anyone know of a site or source of a databases of Tigran Petrosian games that consist of when he played the white pieces and when he played the black pieces?  It would be much easier to study them divided that way.

Thanks

DerWustenfuchs

You can find his games with white here:

http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chess.pl?yearcomp=exactly&year=&playercomp=white&pid=16149&player=&pid2=&player2=&movescomp=exactly&moves=&opening=&eco=&result=

And his games with black here:

http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chess.pl?yearcomp=exactly&year=&playercomp=black&pid=16149&player=&pid2=&player2=&movescomp=exactly&moves=&opening=&eco=&result=

The only problem is that you will have to download the games one by one or just veiw them online. You are not allowed to download all games in one file unless you are a paying member.

Anyway, hope that helps.

Are there any book, where most memorable Petrosian games are annotated?

Anyway asking..

@kortsnoi2 - I think this book is what you are asking:

Thanks for the info.  I need to download them into a database to use with Chess Opening Wizard and similar programs.  I have a huge database in CBH and PGN but don't know how to separate them into the two databases I need.

Again, thanks.

The most well-known sources for annotated Petrosian Games are "Learn from the Legends" by Marin and "My great Predecessors Vol.3" by Kasparov.

Books solely dedicated to him are pretty rare to come by and mostly out of print. Silman has a pretty complete list of Petrosian-Books in his Review of "Petrosian vs The Elite", found on http://www.jeremysilman.com/book_reviews_js/Petrosian_vs_the_Elite.html

However, at your current skill level it is probably better not to bother too much with annotated Grandmaster games (let alone Petrosians, who has a very peculiar playstyle) and instead do basic tactic and endgame exercises.

CPAMAN ! What kind of discoveries you have done with your opening analysis ? Petrosians best openings ? Petrosianian philosophy ?  I have had no time to go under skin of petrosian world. Alechine is my favourite player with kortsnoi and Karpov, too ! I might later tell other from my player list   ( ten best player list )
