Philidor Defenses: Larsen and Nimzovich Variations

This is a continuance of another post of mine in which I challenged this group to find some redemption in for the Philidor Defense (1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 d6). While lines these are nothing new, I feel that they are somewhat overlooked. With that being said, let's see how the Hypermodernists Larsen and Nimzovich approached the defense.

The larsen variation is very similar to ...exd4 KID lines, especially if white plays c4 and f3. But white can also attack in sicilian style except black doesn't have c file counterplay and the long diagonal to me doesn't seem enough to get serious counterplay. But, the open e file allows better defensive chances because it prevents possible e5 moves and attacks e4.

thanks for the commentaries ...

I am new to the game and find that reading the posts in this group is very instructive.
